Family Promise of the Chippewa Valley Appoints Semone Thomas as Executive Director

Family Promise of the Chippewa Valley – Beacon House is proud to announce the appointment of Semone Thomas as Executive Director, effective April 2025.
Semone first joined the organization in June 2024, bringing with her a deep commitment to the mission of supporting families with children experiencing homelessness. In less than a year, she has made a lasting impression—demonstrating exceptional leadership, operational insight, and a heartfelt dedication to the families we serve. Her appointment as Executive Director reflects both her outstanding contributions and the confidence placed in her by the board and staff.
As Executive Director, Semone will lead the overall strategy and day-to-day operations of Family Promise of the Chippewa Valley – Beacon House. Her role includes overseeing our emergency shelter, diversion, and stabilization programs, as well as strengthening relationships with donors, volunteers, community partners, and media. Under her leadership, the organization will continue to build capacity, deepen its impact, and move families closer to lasting stability.
Semone’s leadership is marked by collaboration, transparency, and vision. She inspires those around her to work with purpose, compassion, and an unwavering belief that every family deserves a safe place to call home.
