What Does “Home” Mean?

For many of us, “home” is a place of comfort, stability, and peace.
But for families experiencing housing insecurity, “home” can feel uncertain or out of reach.
At Family Promise of the Chippewa Valley, we work every day to help families find that sense of stability again, one step at a time. Whether it’s providing a safe place to stay, preventing a family from losing their housing, or helping someone move into a home of their own, our goal is always the same: creating a path forward.
As we recognize Volunteer Appreciation Week, we’re reminded that this work is only possible because of the people who show up, volunteers, supporters, and community partners who believe every family deserves a safe place to call home.
Their time, compassion, and commitment help create moments of stability for families navigating incredibly difficult circumstances.
We invite our community to come together for an evening of connection, stories, and impact at our upcoming event:
