23rd Annual HIKE for the Homeless
Tuesday, August 18, 2026 | 5 - 8 PM
The 23rd Annual Hike for the Homeless benefits Family Promise of the Chippewa Valley Inc, which owns and operates the Beacon House Shelter in Eau Claire. We provide families experiencing homelessness with temporary shelter and work with them find permanent homes and become financially independent. In 2025, Family Promise of the Chippewa Valley provided more than 6,143 nights of shelter across our programs, serving 50 families and 107 children experiencing homelessness. Thirty-six families stayed at Beacon House, while fourteen others received emergency hotel shelter through our shelter diversion program. Families at Beacon House also received over 10,000 meals thanks to the generosity of volunteers and community partners. Our annual event helps provide us with the financial resources to provide these services.
