Family Promise Secures $20,000 Grant from Clayton® to Prevent Homelessness for Families in the Chippewa Valley
April 14, 2025
Eau Claire Family Promise of the Chippewa Valley recently received a $20,000 grant from Clayton, ensuring that families in the Chippewa Valley receive the support they need to stay safely housed.
The grant is a portion of the $1.5 million dollars Clayton is dispersing to the Family Promise national network. The funds are a result of the recently announced partnership extension between Family Promise and Clayton. A Future Begins at Home, the initiative born from this collaboration, is dedicated to supporting families experiencing homelessness by helping them stay in their homes and swiftly regain stability. Since its inception in 2019, A Future Begins at Home has catalyzed millions in additional funding resulting in more than 30,000 families being served.
“The Clayton/Family Promise Diversion Grant has allowed us to provide targeted support that helps families avoid the trauma and instability of shelter placement. This funding not only prevents homelessness, it empowers families to maintain their housing and rebuild their lives with dignity and security. The ripple effect of this support extends beyond individual households, strengthening our entire community as we work together to create sustainable solutions.”
In addition to Clayton’s generous financial support, they have donated 18 homes to the Family Promise national network since 2019. These homes are used primarily as transitional housing for families working with Family Promise allowing families to stay together while receiving case management and support services as they work toward securing permanent housing.
